CASCADE 2in 1 Dishwasher Gel Pack

The coins weigh 21.3 grams initially. There seems to be some bare metal showing on the Claudius bust, as well as some along the rim of the provincial. The green on the provincial seems more like encrustation than patina- it is rough and coral-like.

Max thickness on Claudius is 4.5mm, the provincial 3.7mm.

After boiling on the stove for 15 minutes, a good amount of crud seems to have been removed. Coins still 21.3 grams though; I believe they gained some water weight since the coins only soaked in distilled water for 10 minutes or so, prior.

Coins after 45 minutes of boiling. Added another gel pack halfway through, and added more water. After a toothbrushing, coins weigh 21.2 grams- the scan isn't portraying the difference very well.

Coins after 2 hours of boiling. Another bag thrown into water, and more water added. Alot has been removed, but coins still aren't very clear. Coins now weigh 21.0 grams.

Coins are a bit too encrusted to get a good feel on this technique. The coin that I initially thought was a provincial is an Imperial issue. The Claudius is now 3.2mm thick, while the other coin is now 2.0. So even though the weight was only reduced by 0.3 grams, there was a considerable amount of crud removed. This may be due to water weight gain.
