CROCKPOT WITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, PAGE 2
I ran out of hydrgen peroxide, and the liquid I had in the crockpot evaporarted, so I have used distilled water for the last two days. I bought some more, so will go back to hydrogen peroxide. Here's what the coins look like after a couple days of distilled water/a little hydrogen peroxide.
Coins still weigh 17.2g, but they seem to have lost some more dirt. I probably should use a bit better quality coins... ah well. I'm going to dump a pint of Hydrogen Peroxide in the crockpot and let it cook until it evaporates... should be 3-5 days I would guess. I'll figure out what's going on then.
It held some promise to begin with... but I think my fishtank experiment has this beat by a wide margin.

After another 6 days, there still sin't all that much difference. Coins weigh 17.1-2 grams. My new cheap scale keeps giving me different readings. Before and after scans below, with the before shots on top, the after below. There was some change in the coins, but not all that much to be honest. Coins retained patina . With a silver brushing, there are a couple that I would deem cleaned. I won't necessarily mark this as a failure, but it didn't produce enough results to be a success either.
