Metal Glo
If you are looking for a super fast way to clean your coins, this could be for you. It will eat through dirt, light encrustations and patina very quickly. Each coin took perhaps 30 seconds. The first coin, I applied the paste by hand with a rag, and buffed it off with a nylon dremel brush. The reverse, I used a hard felt pad to apply. This coin had a very heavy patina and light encrustation so legends and design was barely visible. It did not eat the patina on this one.
The second coin I used a soft felt pad to apply on the obverse, and on the reverse I applied it by hand and buffed it with my 6 micron 3m wheel. Patina as well as some silvering was stripped in no time flat, but alot of dirt was removed as well. Surface porosity is horrible on this campgate.
Before on left, after on right.
This did polish up a silvered coin that I initially tested it on with no ill effects though.
